Maryland Board of Public Works delays approval of emergency COVID vaccine contracts amid transparency concerns

The Maryland Board of Public Works delayed on Wednesday approving three emergency contracts, together worth millions of dollars, awarded by state’s health department to bolster its COVID-19 vaccine rollout, with both the state comptroller and treasurer citing a lack of transparency regarding what the contractors are doing.
