Both Southern and South River had to bounce back quickly from disappointing season-opening losses Monday. The visiting Bulldogs brought ace Marty Sawyers, an outstanding defense and timely hitting to Edgewater Tuesday afternoon, while the Seahawks struggled mightily in two of those three areas.
