Meredith Smith, who won multiple titles as a respected boys basketball coach at Southern High in Baltimore City, dies

Meredith Smith, who taught physical education for 40 years and coached at Southern High School for 21 of them, died of cardiac arrest Friday at University of Maryland Medical Center. The Baltimore City resident was 79.
