Northeast has hired Elwood Townsend to become its next head football coach, Eagles athletic director Ken Miller confirmed Friday. Townsend was head coach at Frederick Douglass High School from 2007 to 2015, leading the Ducks to a pair of Class 1A state championship crowns in 2013 and 2014.
