PPP by the numbers: Which Maryland industries, counties, schools benefited most from coronavirus loans?

Maryland businesses and nonprofit organizations received more than 80,000 loans through the federal Paycheck Protection Program, totaling over $10 billion. Restaurants, physicians’ offices, and lawyers’ offices were among the biggest borrowers.
